Prayer

Image
I think prayer is something every Christian has struggled with in their walk. I know for me it's always easier to pray in hard times than in good times. We shouldn't have the habit of only praying for us and our needs. Colossians 4:2 reminds us to keep "an attitude of thanksgiving" when praying. What are some other forms of prayer?     We need to pray for each other. James 5:16 says "Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working."Prayer isn't a joke, folks. We should not be ashamed of asking others for prayer. Everyone sins and everyone struggles.(Ecclesiastes 7:20) Pray for your brethren and let them pray for you.        We need to pray for our future. A verse I see a lot is Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the plans I have for you, declares the  Lord , plans for welfare [ a ]  and not for evil,  to give you a fut...

In the Bible we see this phrase used in Exodus 3:14. “God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” Who is I AM? How can we ever begin to realize how powerful I AM is? The mysterious power of I AM is undeniably there. Let’s think and ponder on some of the qualities of I AM.        First, I AM is awesome. No, not the kind of awesome we use to describe that new super cool movie, the kind of awesome we can’t understand. Deuteronomy 10:17 says “For the Lord your God is God of all gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no bribe.” Meriam Webster dictionary describes awesome as “an inspiring awe.” We need to have an attitude like David has in Psalm 65:8. “They who dwell in the ends of the earth stand in awe of Your sig...
