4 Things Christians Should Do More Of
1.) We need to encourage one another
As an introvert, it can be hard for me to talk to someone. 1st Thessalonians 5:11 says “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”
I know sometimes even simply saying “You’re doing a great job!” can pick someone up in their walk as a Christian. We need to be there for each other as brothers and sisters
2.) We need to spend more time in The Word
I know reading our Bible everyday can be a struggle for a lot of us. It’s important for us to grow in the truth, not just in Sunday school or Wednesday night Bible class. Hebrews 4:12 says “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
3.) We need to LOVE
1st Corinthians 13:7 says “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” I’ve noticed sometimes we get so caught up in trying to “defend” our beliefs, we forget speaking the truth in love can go a long way. Another good verse to go along with this is Ephesians 4:15. “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,”
4.) We need to be more forgiving
“bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.” Colossians 3:13
Forgiving someone who has done you wrong can be one of the hardest things to do. But, as we all know, we must do it.
